09: What is a Bond?
A financial bond is a type of loan that a person or organization gives to another. When someone buys a bond, they are lending money to the issuer in exchange for regular payments until the bond matures. Bonds are often used by governments and large companies to raise money for projects such as building infrastructure, providing services, and investing in research and development.
